For Owens Corning FOAMGLAS® Benelux, we carried out a complete gearbox overhaul of the gearbox driving their grinding mill.
From the outside, everything appeared to be in good condition. However, when it comes to industrial drives, appearances can be deceiving. Waiting until a gearbox fails often means dealing with costly and unplanned downtime.
After dismantling the unit, it became clear that a thorough overhaul was far from unnecessary. By identifying wear at an early stage and carefully inspecting all critical components, we were able to restore the gearbox to optimal condition. Following extensive checks, the necessary replacements, and precise reassembly, the drive is once again ready to deliver years of reliable performance.
This project highlights the value of preventive maintenance. Addressing issues before they lead to failure helps maximize equipment reliability and operational continuity.
